Match Tennis

The main focus for those who wish to play competitive tennis is in the LTA Bucks County Shield, a multi-division team doubles competition with promotion and relegation. The Club enters teams in the men’s, ladies’ and also mixed events which all comprise a total of 4 sets followed by tea, snacks and a social chat round a table in the home teams clubhouse.

In the Winter, both men and ladies play in the Bucks LTA Veterans Shield competition. We also enter mixed teams in the Farnham Common league.

A Club Tournament is held each year with the usual array of singles and doubles events.  Other competitions take place within the club.

Match players are encouraged to come down on Wednesday and Thursday evenings and those wishing to register their interest in playing should contact the Captains Karen & Roger.
